(I do not own this photo.)Currently I am sitting on my bed burning up in my no air conditioned room. I don't feel like taking my laptop and hooking it up somewhere else, so here I am.
I just finished reading Plain Truth by Jodi Picoult. It is was very intense and it sucked you in to the point that you're up til 6 in the morning because you cannot put the book down. This is the second book I've read by Picoult, and I loved the way I didn't know what exactly happened in the book. I loved that you got bits and pieces at a time, instead of getting the whole cake at once making you feel overwhelmed and sick.
The book has an Amish theme to it and focuses a lot on the differences and similiarties between Amish culture and American culture. I seriously think I know way more about the Amish after reading this book, it doesn't just give you boring facts about them like you would find on Wikipidea, but you find out about their culture and the way they live through interpertation. It was a fun way to learn something knew, through a story.
Would I recommend this book? Yes, of course.
ANYWAYS,
I think I'm going to start reading The Lightning Theif soon just to see if it's any good.
I'm gonna go and cool down now
